She's mental I tell ya..

Family Christmas lunch day today. I woke up in plenty of time.. but you know those days where no matter how much time you've had, its just now enough? Well, we set off in the nick of time.. without a cab we would miss ur train, and the entire lunch for that matter! So luckily a bus drove by us as we were passing its stop - a bus that goes straight to the train station. We got there and purchased our tickets with 3 minutes to spare - Julian even had time to pick up a croissant. Impressive, or lucky?! Definately sheeeeeer luck.
We arrived in Glasgow and for some reason, although we were running out of time, Julian wanted to walk there. Whats wrong with a taxi?!?!?! I had my heels on and found myself trapsing through town with my feet burning and rain tickling down. The kind of rain that isnt heavy enough to put up your umbrella.. but still manages to inflate your hairdo into a frizzbomb. Extremely annoying. We ended up missing the hotel and going right around it.. taking an extra 10 minutes. When we finally arrived, EVERYBODY was there, already waiting. But its fashionable to make a late entrance, isnt it?! ;)
Lunch was nice. Tiny portions, and not filling at all, but nice. And of course the best part - to see everyone and exchange some cards and presents. Julian got to meet some more of the family.. which im sure he was thrilled about :)
After lunch we headed back to town. We WALKED back to town, my feet still aching a little, (dam shoes). We went into the apple store - the only one in Scotland and had a look around. I bought some cute little socks for my nano and grudgingly gave the green one to Julian for his iphone. Afterwards we wanted to go for a drink before heading home, so went to Cafe Andeluz for some wine and nibbles. You'd think after a course meal you'd be full, wouldnt you!!! Anyway, we had a glass of white, a glass of red, some olives, breads and a meat platter. Quite yummy, very busy, and nice.
The train ride home went pretty quick and we arrived to a rainy but warm night. We walked back up to Brougham Street under my umbrella enjoying the night. With a quick stop to tesco for some bites, we were home in no time...
Julian thinks he's a Glasgow boy. Interesting :)
